Gilliland - Henry Manson

H. Manson Gilliland. 89, of Rt. 3, a retired farmer, died Saturday morning in Culver Hospital.
He was a member of the New Market Methodist Church and Montgomery County Farm Bureau. Born July 31, 1884, in Montgomery County, the son of. William and Dora Stith Gilliland, he attended area schools. He married Grace B. Baldwin of: Indianapolis Feb. 2 1907. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, William of Rt. 7; a sister; Mrs. Bessie Snyder of Rt. 7; two grandchildren, Robert L. of Rt. 7 and Mrs. Nancy Newton of Rt. 2; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Powers Funeral Home at New Market with the Rev. Dale Payne officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
